PWSB Lifts Drought Advisory

The Pawtucket Water Supply Board is pleased to announce that the drought advisory that was put in place in November has been lifted. The rain and snowfall we have received throughout the winter months has completely replenished our water supply system and all reservoirs are at 100% capacity at this time. Although we always encourage the efficient use of water and offer the following water conservation tips, there are currently no restrictions on water use for our customers at this time.

Water Conservation Tips

• Use water consuming appliances such as dishwashers and washing machines only when necessary.
• Wash only full loads of clothing and dishes.
• Make sure your faucets and toilets do not have any leaks.
• Check plumbing for leaks.
• Make sure new faucets, toilets, and appliances are water efficient models.
• Take shorter showers.
• Keep drinking water in the refrigerator instead of letting the water run until it is cold.
• Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth, shaving, or rinsing dishes.
• Don’t pour water down the drain if it can be used for other things such as plant watering.
